Gate fold

Today I am going to show you how to make a gate fold type card

Start with an A4 piece of card stock (29.8cm x 21cm) and two lightly with a pencil two lines 5cm on each side

 draw another line in the middle (14.5cm)
 Cur out the two top corners, it doesnt matter with as you will end up with the same thing and now score the pencil lines that are left you can than rub these out but since your decorating it it doesnt matter :)
 Decorate as you like :D

 I added a little pocket which would be perfect for a giftcard or money :)
 I used -

* one piece of White A4 card stock
* green paper cut into three pieces of 11cm x 15cm & two 5cm x 14.5cm
* Love letters paper brought from Hobbycraft
* Birthday Stamp wooden
* Stampin up trimmer to cut and score :)
* Clear Gems stones

I hope you enjoyed :D

As promised ..

Evening all :)

Today I have actually spent time planning, shock horror! I planned what cards I was going to make and how to show them, I have never done a video tutorial before and have no idea where to start if I'm honest so I will give you them in pictures ... for now :)

so today I am going to show you the castle fold card which I think looks awesome when all done!

Take a piece of card stock or paper measuring 29.8cm x 21cm

Mark with a pencil lightly at 10cm & 19.5cm on long side & 6.5cm x 14cm  short side, you should end up with something similar to this
 Cut the two top corner off & the middle bottom sqaure to end up with this (see picture)
 Score the two side panels at 5cm & 10cm and fold - use a bone folder to make the folds more crisp and decorate to your liking, I choose pink with a green paper - see bottom

This card was really easy to make I used -

White card stock
love letter paper
Marion Emberson birthday kisses clear stamp set

I'm not really very good at converting into inches I am working on it though *blush* I got this fold idea from a place called beccys place
She has some great ideas over there :D

I will show you a gatefold card tomorrow

and I nearly forgot look what arrived this morning!! how exciting & scary

Heya

Heya *waves*

I'm totally new to blogging (well apart from the one on my website) so please bare with me :D

I make homemade cards, boxes ect and I recently set up my own website ... www.stickandglue.co.uk to help sell these.

I started making homemade cards back in 2005 but these were just as a hobby, I stopped making them when my best friend died in 2009 and when me and my ex husband broke up in 2013 I decided it was time to retake up the things I enjoyed, brought alot of stuff to get me sorted and here I am

I recently put my very first order in at stampin up and I Love there stuff so worth the money, I brought the trimmer, the envelope punch board, bumuda bay ink pad, ink markers, the blossom stamp set and the pansy punch to match, a mini heart punch and the language of love stamp set and totally plan on placing another order soon :)

sorry this first blog post is short in the next few days I will be popping stuff i have recently made on here too.
